Piano song late intermediate – “Cuttin’ Up in Cut Time”

This is a fun piano song for the late intermediate pianist in 2/2 meter, also called cut time. It’s tempting to count in four beats, but make sure to count two beats per measure with the half note getting one beat. Most cut time meters have a moving tempo. Watch out for the consecutive 4ths in measures 10-16 and practice the fingering slowly. Keep the fingering similar in measures 14 and 15. Use little pedaling, using mostly finger pedaling to keep it legato.
