Piano solo intermediate – “Horseplay”

The left hand is challenging in this piano solo for the intermediate student and may need to be practiced alone until mastered. The fingering is essential for keeping a continual line. Since the melody is in the right hand with longer-held notes, make sure to play it louder to bring it out. In bars 13-16, you’ll use your thumb in the right hand for both the G and the A in the chord, so you can use the 4th finger for the E on the top to play the F sharp following the chord. It’s not difficult once you get used to it.
