This is a great book! I noticed though, that using it with my younger students could be a little daunting (for them) so I’m glad that Kathi has written a book for that age group specifically. I find that using this book once my students have a better understanding of basic notation works great! It’s an easy sequence to follow and doesn’t require me to ask the parents to buy a ton of different books for different skill levels.

I have used Drill It and Kill It for both adults and children and found it to be an excellent teaching tool. All the information I use is there. I find definitions, explanations, and as many songs as my students need in order to master the new skill. I like knowing my student is ready to move on.
